Pinshane is named a “highly cited researcher” by Clarivate Analytics for 2018.  This list recognizes researchers who are authors on multiple highly cited papers that rank in the top 1% by citations for field and year in Web of Science. Only about 1 in 1000 researchers are named to this list each year, including eleven at UIUC. News article here.

Student Yinchuan Lv’s research on cubic boron arsenide was published in two articles in Science, which can be accessed here and here. The papers demonstrate a new class of materials with unconventionally high thermal conductivity.

Prof.  Pinshane Huang wins the prestigious Packard Fellowship, a distinction awarded to 18 of the most promising early career scientists in the nation.

The NSF has funded a new Materials Science and Engineering Center at UIUC.  The Huang Lab will be a part of the new center’s Interdisciplinary Research Group on Deformable Electronic Interfaces.

Our research will be featured at the “Wonder Materials: Graphene and Beyond” exhibit at the Manchester Museum of Science and Industry! The exhibit showcases the breathtaking images of 2D materials taken by Pinshane and talks about the intersection of science and art in electron microscopy. The exhibit will debut July 23, 2016.
